Here’s hoping you got off to a great start in September! If you are in a state using a Bridges supplement, be sure to check the Unit 2 replacement planner (around page 15 of the supplement). In many state supplements a large chunk of this unit has been replaced, often instead of Sessions 2-5.

I hope September went well and now your kids know everything about shapes. The first four days of October are devoted to starting new calendar routines as your sole whole-group math instruction. Bridges Grade 1 Advice for Unit 2, Sessions 1-14

I hope you got off to a good start in September! At the end of Unit One, don’t forget the blue Interview pages! You can skip Interview Sheet 1: ”How Are You Feeling About Work Places?” by getting around to everyone during Work Places throughout the month. The bottom of Interview Sheet 2, counting 100 bugs by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s will yield you great information! To find time to get these interviews completed, try administering them during entry times, Work Places, silent reading, or any time you can find to interview a child by him/herself.

I hope things went well in September and you learned to get your calendar routines down to a speedy five minutes so you could get on to the daily challenges. If you weren’t able to get all of the daily challenges completed, continue on with them in October.
