Ten-Strips & Frames Using the Number Rack App

MLC's Number Rack App provides a tech alternative to traditional models such as ten-strips and ten-frames. Let's consider a couple examples.

100th Day Celebration!

Just this morning, my kindergarten exclaimed, "It's almost the 100th day of school and we get to bring something to celebrate!" If you look forward to the big day as much as he does, here are some inspirational ideas:


Coin Song

A memorable little tune by Robby Turner, "I Like Coins," illustrates each coin and its value: pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters. The video, which also features photos of children in a classroom, would make a nice transition activity.

Dancing by 5s

This Counting by 5s song is sure to get your students up and dancing! As they move to the beat, the catchy tune inspires everyone to practice counting to 100 by 5s. But beware...it's addictive! Try it over break to work off a few of those holiday goodies...
